Information for Authors
Reporting Standards
Authors of original research reports should provide an accurate account of their work and objectively discuss its significance. All underlying data must be represented accurately in the paper. The manuscript should include sufficient details and references to enable replication. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are considered unethical and unacceptable.
Data Access and Retention
Authors should provide raw data for editorial review and, if feasible, ensure public access to such data in line with the ALPSP-STM Statement on Data and Databases. They should also retain data for a reasonable period after publication.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must submit only original work. If using others’ research or words, they should properly cite or quote them. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors should not submit the same research to multiple journals simultaneously. Republishing substantially the same research in different journals is unethical and unacceptable.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of others' work is required. Authors should cite influential publications that contributed to their research.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be restricted to individuals who significantly contributed to the study’s conception, design, execution, or interpretation. All contributors should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors approve the final manuscript before submission.
Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects
Any study involving hazardous chemicals, procedures, or equipment must clearly highlight potential risks in the manuscript.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that may influence their study’s results or interpretation. All sources of financial support should be acknowledged.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If an author identifies a significant error in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate in retracting or correcting the paper.
